We are family owned, locally operated, and dedicated to serving our community with fresh and locally sourced feed. If you experience any issues with our services or feed, please let us know so we can address it and do our best to make it right!   We openly encourage customers to do a study of their current bagged feed vs. our feed on performance, palatability, feed rate, and how your birds respond. Leave a review or comment, or better yet a testimonial for us to share! Your voice matters to us!

Terms of Service, Privacy Practices, and Use of Communication Services

Privacy & Safety: Your privacy is important! We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may, however use the contact information you provide to conduct ordinary transactional and promotional business, such as answering your questions or concerns, sending quotes or invoices for your review, or notifying you of successful payment received. If you sign up for our newsletter or promotional emails, mail ads, or SMS notifications, you consent to our contacting you with such, and any contractual rates and fees you have with your phone/internet/mobile carrier still apply. Our site is SSL Certified, and our on-site and in-app checkout is secured with HTTPS/TLS data encryption via WIX Payments. Account access and activities: If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You may not consign or otherwise transfer your account to any other person or entity. You acknowledge that Cache Valley Chick-n-Feed is not responsible for third party access to your account that results from theft or misappropriation of your account. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content at our sole discretion. Termination/Access Restriction: Cache Valley Chick-n-Feed reserves the right, at it's sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Site and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, this agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Utah and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Utah in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Site. Use of this Site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these Terms, including, without limitation, this section. You also agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and Cache Valley Chick-n-Feed and its affiliates, if any, as a result of this agreement or use of the Site. Our performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of Cache Valley Chick-n-Feed's right to comply with governmental, court and law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of the Site or information provided to or gathered by us with respect to such use. TWIPLA is a website analytics service that measures traffic on our website and collects general information from our website visitors. We create statistics to improve the experience of our website visitors. We never use cookies for this purpose. As a website operator using TWIPLA to conduct reach measurement, depending on the level of data protection we have activated, we may process information about the device you are using and its characteristics, information about technical characteristics of the website visit, the number of page visits and statistically relevant behavior of our website visitors. The technology does not use the collected data to identify individual visitors or to match the data with additional information about an individual user. Depending on the location from which you access our website, TWIPLA may not collect any information about the device you are using due to our technical settings. Use of Communication Services: This website may contain bulletin board services, chat areas, new groups, forums, communities, and/or other message or communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate with a public group. You agree to use the communication services only to post, send, and receive messages, notifications, or material that are proper and related to the particular Communication Service. You will not defame, harass, abuse, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights, especially privacy and publicity, of others. You may not publish, post, upload, distribute, or disseminate any inappropriate, profane, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent, unlawful, or inflammatory topic, name, material or information. In other words, be nice to people, regardless of your personal opinion of them! You also agree not to upload software of any kind, upload files, upload links to files or sites designed to download or install malware, spyware, viruses, damaged corrupted or infected files designed to disrupt, harm, or damage the operation of another's computer or to harvest personal information. You also agree not to advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purposes; conduct or forward any surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, or chain letters; download any file that you know, or reasonable should know, cannot be legally distributed in such manner; falsify or delete any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of any material contained in a file that is uploaded; restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Communication Services, harvest or collect information about others, including email addresses, without their consent; or violate any applicable laws or regulations. Changes to Terms: Cache Valley Chick-n-Feed reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change the Terms under which the Site and services are offered. The most current version of the Terms will supersede all previous versions. We encourage you to periodically review the Terms to stay informed of any updates.

Cash is best! We are a small business and pass down card/app processing fees as a convenience fee. This fee is included in the online price, for online payment convenience.

 

Cash-pay orders can still be placed online! Opt Cash at checkout, and use promo code "CachePay25"

This promo code for our cash pay customers to place orders online and pay in person the discounted price. Any inappropriate use of the promo code, i.e. using it while also using online payments such as Venmo, Paypal, Google Pay or Credit Card, will result in your order being cancelled and your payment refunded.

  • ​Payment is due upon receipt on all feeds.

  • Preorders for day-old poultry require payment in full before your hatch date arrives.

  • We keep our stock fresh and nutritious by not over-ordering beyond anticipated demand. Typically, we order our high demand items once in the spring and once in the fall. For species specific supplements, health remedies, or unusually large orders, payment in full is required in advance so that we know you are committed to your order when it arrives.

​For security reasons, we do not keep a large amount of cash. If you are paying in cash, please bring a reasonably close approximation to the total. We do not break large bills.

Drop-Site Service for Northern Utah

We offer local pick-up at our residential store and delivery services by appointment. Please contact us with questions, we will work with you to get you your feed and supplies in a reasonable, timely, and courteous way!

Wasatch Front: we offer a once-a-month courtesy drop-off route that is usually on the 1st Sat of each month, but can vary as circumstances arise. We currently have drop-offs points in Willard, Ogden, Farmington, Murray, and Draper. We do our best to communicate and plan our route to meet the general availability of our Wasatch Front customers. If you are not available, please have someone come and pick up your feed, and contact us so we know who to expect. Drop sites are a courtesy delivery opportunity free from delivery fees (weight restrictions apply). We list our upcoming delivery routes as "Events" on this website and ask that you please RSVP if you plan to pick up feed in these areas. You can add your RSVP appointment to your preferred Calendar app (google, apple, etc..) This helps us plan our route efficiently, and update you about schedule changes, weather delays or other important information. ​​ If you are unable to meet us at the courtesy drop-off site, or pickup your order from our store in North Logan, we are happy to deliver it to you on-demand, but delivery fees will apply. See the Fee Schedule below. Please contact us with questions or concerns. Individual orders exceeding 500lbs (or 10 bags of feed) must use Home Delivery, for the safety and convenience of everyone at public drop-off sites, as well as keeping our curtesy route on schedule.

On Demand Delivery Fee Schedule.​ Delivery convenience fee of 3% of the order total, plus a fuel surcharge as follows: Cache Valley: no fuel surcharge is added to the convenience fee if the order is under 300lbs. - For orders 300lbs and greater for the Cache Valley area, a $15 fuel surcharge applies. ​$25 Brigham City, Perry area. Includes Willard.​ $45 Ogden, Layton area​​. $65 Woods Cross, Bountiful area​​​. $75 - Wasatch Front, from North Salt Lake to Draper. $85 Magna/West Valley Area $95 - Grantsville, Tooele area.​​ $115 - Lehi, Orem, Provo Area. Also Eagle Mountain, Fairfield Area​​ $125 -  Spanish Fork, Payson, Santaquin, Elberta area. ​For delivery requests for orders 2000lbs or greater, or to areas not serviced by a scheduled drop-off site, please call for delivery pricing.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

FRESH FEED: All feeds are pick-up or local delivery in Northern Utah. Due to the perishable nature of fresh milled feed, and the biosecurity protocols at our residence, returns are not accepted. However, if you are dissatisfied with our feed for any reason, please reach out to us before doing anything rash. We are a small family owned business who stands by our products quality, and we will do our best to make things right! Refunds or exchanges are at the sole digression of our owners, and will be considered on a case by case basis for extenuating circumstances.​​

For bulk orders 2000lb or more, and for live poultry orders, we require 50% upfront and the rest due upon receipt.

FERTRELL​: 10 lb Poultry Nutri-Balancer & Breeder Show Powder are in sealed foil bags and can be shipped via UPS Ground to anywhere in the Lower 48 states. Shipping cost will apply depending on current carrier policies. Please email us for a quote or questions. All bulk Fertrell Products are local Pick-up/Delivery only to northern Utah. We are open and honest with the information we have on the Fertrell products we offer for retail, the manufacture date, and the care we have taken to preserve the items in cold storage. If there are any issues with the performance of Fertrell products, we would love to hear your feedback, though complaint of grievance needs to be filed with the manufacturer directly.

HATCHING EGGS​:

 

At this time all live poultry are Local Pick-Up Only.

 

Eggs may be picked up from our store, or one of our local scheduled drop sites. We can also ship eggs through USPS, though shipping rates apply. Fertility is closely monitored in our flock and great care will be taken in the packaging of eggs against rough handling. The box will be appropriately labeled as "Do Not X-Ray," "Fragile" and "Hatching Eggs." However, the germinal disc is delicate. Even without any damage of the shell, the egg's yolk can potentially be internally "scrambled" by rough handling or the embryo damaged. Please base any reviews or comments (good and bad), on the quality of the eggs themselves and the care taken in packaging them to survive their shipment. Our eggs are insured through USPS. It is highly advisable for you to open your package at the post office immediately, and document any damages from shipment, as you will need to file a claim to USPS for broken or cracked eggs.

No returns, exchanges, or refunds can be accepted for hatching eggs under any circumstances due to all the above statements, as well as that the vast majority of development and hatch performance depends entirely on incubation practices. Our liability is limited to sending you hatching eggs from the correct breed and fulfilling your egg order in the timeline set forth in the item description or at the time of sale and in accordance with our store policies. If you are dissatisfied with your hatch ratio, please reach out before defaming our small business. We will gladly work with you to find a solution if possible, but by purchasing eggs you agree that all sales are final. Legal Disclaimer: Our Hatching eggs are not intended for human consumption.

TIPS FOR EGG CARE: It is important to "rest" shipped eggs for 6-12 hours after arrival (and before incubation) pointy end DOWN to acclimate them to ambient temperature and allow for the air sack to settle in the large end of the egg if it has migrated. This step is essential for maximizing hatchability. Upon candling after this resting period, eggs with air sacks that appear "U" shaped, or are larger than 1/3 the total egg space, or which haven't migrated to the large end of the egg should be considered inviable. Also if there is any indication the yolk has ruptured. These conditions are the result of "internal scrambling," caused by excessively rough handling during shipping.

Day-Old Chicks

 

At this time, all poultry are local pick-up only.

Chicks must be preordered if we do not currently have them in stock. Orders are prioritized over egg orders. Please see the hatchery page

The Chick order deposit counts towards the cost of the final order and is refundable up until 24 hours after eggs are set in the incubator. You will be notified by text or email before the eggs are set. Once hatch day arrives and there are extra sex-link females, you will have an opportunity to purchase extras in your hatch.

 

You will be notified when your hatch arrives. You must arrange pick up your chicks within 5 days of hatch or we reserve the right to cancel your order, list the chick for open sale, and you will be refunded your order minus a 50% "restocking" fee for our expense of incubation and care of abandoned chick orders. By placing an order for chicks you agree to these terms.​​​​​​
